VASER Liposelection - No Downtime Alternative to Liposuction
George Marosan, MD Bellevue, WA
Unwanted fat can be efficiently removed from abs, arms, back, hips, knees, love handles, neck and chin, saddlebags, thighs - anywhere on the body that you would like to slim down. The LipoSelection procedure uses ultrasonic energy to break up fat in a unique way that targets only fatty deposits while keeping essential tissues including nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissues virtually intact. You need not worry about the impact of the procedure on your bodys vital components because risks are extremely low and outcomes are impressively positive. The VASER Technology used for the LipoSelection procedure is efficient and precise because the sound waves it emits break up fatty tissue while leaving surrounding tissues largely undisturbed. Treatment with the VASER System has been reported to produce low to minimal pain, low to minimal bruising and swelling, and few complications. The proprietary grooved probe employed in LipoSelection® only by VASER® was designed to precisely break up fatty tissue. Fatty tissue consists primarily of fat cells, but it also contains other important tissues, including nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue. The VASER System effectively promotes the removal of large fat cells as it emulsifies the fat with sound energy. This sound energy is comparable to techniques that treat cataracts from the eye. A fragmentation of the fatty tissue results in easy to remove fat cells, which are large and soft, break apart. The bursting of the fat cells is accomplished with little disturbance to nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue. Once emulsified, the fat is easily removed and patients notice significant improvements not only in terms of size reduction, but also in skin firmness and smoothness. Prospective patients can discuss the treatment and how it can effectively treat an extensive number of body areas. Everything from buttocks to knees, cheeks to arms, breasts to back rolls: VASER LipoSelection is one procedure that does it all. Because the sound energy leaves other surrounding tissue relatively intact, patients and physicians report low to minimal pain and low to minimal swelling and bruising.

Similar studies have been done using a survey system. This type of study would ask fellow professionals who they would recommend. The CRCA found this method to be more of a popularity contest. For instance, professionals who work in a large office or hospital have much more of a chance of being mentioned as opposed to a professional who has a small private practice. In addition many professionals have a financial arrangement for back and forth referrals.
